The Spanish-Brazilian football player makes history with New York Club
The NY Cosmos became champion of the regular league in the North American Soccer League Soccer after his victory yesterday against San Antonio Scorpions 2-1. The midfielder Marcos Senna scored the first goal in the second half what means that a total he achieved 5 goals since his debut in the New York team on 3 August.
This victory means for the NY Cosmos another step in its new project to become again the most prestigious Club USA, being the clear dominant of the season of autumn and who is going to face on 9 November to Atlanta Silverbacks in the Soccer Bowl en Silverbacks Park.
NY Cosmos won five titles in the Soccer Bowl as members of the North American Soccer League with his last triumph in 1982. The club, who returned to action in the NASL on 3 August, won eight games, drew four and lost just one.
The confrontation of the Cosmos and the Silverbacks will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes at 19.30 on Saturday, 9 November.
